How far is Beach House Wilderness Backpackers from the beach?
Beach House sits 100 metres from Wilderness Beach — a one-minute walk from your room straight onto the sand. Most rooms have ocean or hillside views.
What types of accommodation do you offer?
Mixed dorm beds from R350 per night, private rooms (no en-suite) from R650, en-suite rooms from R850, A-frame tents, and a standalone cottage with queen bed and private balcony from R1,500. Bookings via NightsBridge.
Do you have a bar and restaurant on site?
Yes — the Beach House Bar & Kitchen serves wood-fired pizza and craft beer from 16:00 to 23:00 daily. Live music every Sunday and open-mic Thursdays with One Two Sound Solutions.
Is Beach House family-friendly?
Yes. Families are welcome in the private rooms, en-suite rooms, and the standalone cottage. The mixed dorms are reserved for solo and adult travellers.
What's the closest airport to Wilderness?
George Airport (GRJ) is about 30 minutes by car. Cape Town International is roughly a 4.5-hour drive on the N2. We can arrange airport transfers on request.
When is the best time of year to visit Wilderness?
Wilderness has mild weather year-round. November to March is peak beach season; June to September is whale-watching season and quieter, ideal for hiking and budget travel.
